Thunder

This was my first attempt at writing poetry!

During the rain comes a marvelous thing,
It sends shudders and shivers through each living being.
The star-arrow is shot down from the sky
to the dread of all on earth that’s alive.
Cracking trees and shocking water
that’s the task of the great God-staff.
To heighten the ego of the hair-raising havocer
comes clamorous clapping that daunts the sturdier.
but you can tell by its tears that it is to all spite
And the freshly washed earth brings great delight
